Clutch is mechanical components which connects or disconnect two input and output shaft. i.e. connect or disconnect power of engine to wheel. 

Clutch are classified into two types-

1. Friction clutch -

The clutch in which slip is occurs and friction is create during connecting time that clutch is called as frictional clutch.

Frictional clutch types uses.

A. Single plate clutch 

Single plate clutch used in truck, bus ,jeep, i.e single plate clutch used in four wheeler.

B. Multi plate clutch 

Multi plate clutch used in two wheelers.

C. Centrifugal clutch 

Centrifugal clutch used in scooter, moped etc.

D. Cone clutch

2. Positive clutch -

The clutch in which slip does  not occurs and friction is also not create during connecting time that clutch is called as positive clutch.
